Our Power Ingredient: Natural Protein from Fermentation
Our fermentation protein is produced by natural fermentation with marine microorganisms: they are cultivated under controlled conditions, gently inactivated, and processed into a protein-rich raw material, which we use in our Besserli recipes.

We know fermentation from yogurt, kimchi, kombucha, and many other healthy foods. Our protein is produced through natural fermentation – entirely without animal products. It provides high-quality protein with over 90% digestibility and a particularly high nutrient density.
Ideal for sensitive dogs
Natural proteins from fermentation are particularly gentle on the stomach and intestines and are ideal if your dog has a sensitive digestion or food sensitivities. As a novel protein source, it is considered particularly well-tolerated and was very well accepted in palatability tests by sensitive dogs and cats.
Particularly Sustainable

What is natural protein from fermentation?
Our power protein is obtained through the fermentation of natural microorganisms . This process creates a highly digestible, protein-rich biomass, entirely without animal ingredients and with significantly lower resource consumption.
This process is nothing new: Nature has been using fermentation for millions of years – just like in the production of yogurt, kimchi, sourdough or kombucha.
We use this principle specifically to obtain a high-quality, easily digestible and particularly pure protein.
The result is our fermented protein, which:
- over 90% digestible,
- is free from common allergens and irritants,
- and is rich in essential amino acids and natural B vitamins.
Because it is not derived from animal or plant raw materials, this protein is particularly gentle on sensitive dogs and is ideally suited for a conscious, sustainable diet.

The Besserli is a handy, medium-sized snack with a diameter of about 12 mm.
It is suitable for all dog breeds – small enough to chew, large enough for a real snacking experience.
Is Besserli suitable for all dogs?
Besserli is suitable for dogs of all breeds and ages . Thanks to its high-quality composition and easily digestible protein, it is also well tolerated by dogs with sensitive digestion.
Besserli is not suitable for puppies under four months old due to its crunchy texture.
How often can I feed the baby?
The Besserli is intended as a snack or reward between meals.
The exact amount depends on your dog's size, weight, and activity – as a guideline: max. 10% of the daily food ration. If you are unsure, you will find a feeding recommendation on the back of the packaging.
Are there any subscription or bundle offers?
Yes, you can also order Besserli as a convenient subscription – saving you 20% regularly and ensuring you always have a supply. You can adjust the delivery interval and quantity individually according to your needs and cancel monthly.
